Mailed approximately ten times annually to each dealer and associate member, the MEDA Guidelines To Profit bulletin contains up-to-date information regarding various phases of dealer and Association activities. Special bulletins or legislative alerts are issued as needed.

ENDORSEMENTS

WAGE & BENEFIT SURVEY
MEDA’s Annual Wage and Employee Benefit Survey provides a comprehensive report broken down into membership categories as reported by MEDA members. What are dealers paying sales personnel, parts people, mechanics, office staff? What are the shops rates?


ANNUAL CONVENTION & FARM SHOWS
MEDA’s newest farm show, Midwest Ag*Expo-Illinois, was developed in 1995 and has proven to be a great success. The show is held in Gifford, Illinois in late January. More information about the Midwest AG*EXPO-Illinois.


BUSINESS INSURANCE
MEDA endorses an insurance carrier for property, liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance coverage for its members. A dividend pool for Association members is returned to insured dealer members as long as claims and expenses do not exceed earned premiums.


LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS
Your Association has legislative representation both in Springfield, Illinois and Madison, Wisconsin on a full-time basis, identifying and tracking all bills relative to our industry. MEDA also works closely with all governmental agencies in Illinois and Wisconsin to monitor and assist members with their concerns.


BUSINESS FORMS & COMPUTER SUPPLIES
MEDA markets and supplies a complete stock of business and computer forms and supplies which can be ordered at competitive prices through the Association office. When you order business or computer forms from your Association, you are assured that the forms will meet the credit terms, sales tax exemption and notice of billing error requirements to comply with federal and state laws.


COMPLIANCE SERVICES
On an annual basis, Association staff members will conduct compliance services at your place of business. These will include all employees who are required to comply with the various Federal and State truck safety regulations, forklift compliance, and OSHA compliance. Driver qualification files, logbooks, daily vehicle inspections and Federal drug screening training requirements are just a few of the many regulations which are covered.

NATIONAL AFFILIATION
MEDA members automatically receive membership in the North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA), which represents and serves dealers at the national level. Members receive a paid subscription to NAEDA's "Equipment Dealer" magazine, along with access to a wide array of programs and services.


OFFICIAL GUIDES
Being a MEDA member, you receive a discount on the new Guides2000 Regional Official Guide. This guide for buying, selling and financing of used equipment is your best source of the most current market information and technical data on farm tractors and equipment. MEDA also provides Outdoor Power Equipment Guides to dealers. MEDA, NAEDA, other Regional Equipment Dealer Associations and Central Communications (developer of the Official Guide) have formed a new company (IRON Solutions).   Through MEDA, IRON Solutions provides Guides2000, Used Equipment Locator for Agricultural Equipment, Outdoor Power Equipment, and Industrial Equipment; Dealer Web Sites and Home Pages, Dealer-to-dealer information, and a chat area to bring together Dealers and Customers for discussions about equipment & industry issues.


STAFF RESOURCES/INFORMATION
Your Association has a staff educated and trained to serve members daily both through personal dealership visits and on the telephone. MEDA has an attorney on retainer (at no cost to MEDA members) who is available by telephone to answer dealers’ questions on legal and business issues. Contact Us - How may we assist you?

DEALER MEETINGS
Dealer Strategy Meetings and seminars, workshops and informational meetings are conducted at various times throughout the states of Illinois and Wisconsin to assist dealers and/or employees in various aspects of business operations. 

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Midwest Equipment Foundation and the Terry L. Willborn Scholarship were formed to provide funds for scholarships to encourage and assist men and women desiring careers in the farm, industrial, dairy, farmstead mechanization, and outdoor power equipment industries.  Scholarships are awarded annually.
